G'day everyone,
Thanks for checking out my fundraising page!
In July this year, I will be doing the Hattah Desert race for the 2nd time, except this time I will be doing the full 4hour race (I did 2hrs last year). By doing the full race and putting myself through a fair bit of uncomfy-ness/hell, I hope to raise $2000 for the McGrath Foundation, who fund breast care nurses.
As some of you may know, my Mum Wendy (Wendel) has had a tough time over the past several months after she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She is on the mend now, but seeing what she endured, handling it like a champion and all the support and help she received from various organisations, I decided I'd like to give back. Mum and I thought the breast care nurses who help people after their diagnosis and treatment do a fantastic job, they were wonderful to Mum, so we hope this fundraiser will help other people like Mum.
UPDATE 31/1/16 - We raised $2317 in under a week!! Fundraising will continue right up until the Hattah Race in July 2016, now aiming to raise as much as possible to help fund breast care nurses.
